In October of 2018, Hartz entered the Long Island market for the first time with the significant acquisition of 52.88 acres at the former Newsday headquarters and newspaper printing facility at 235 Pinelawn Road, Melville, NY. The acquisition furthers Hartz Mountain’s strategic growth of its infill industrial portfolio.
Groundbreaking of the first of two industrial buildings took place in March 2021. The 246,500 square foot building, completed Q1 2022, was joined by another 599,983 square foot logistics building. Both state-of-the-art buildings include 40’ clear ceilings, ESFR sprinklers, ample truck parking, and solar panels on the roof.
Long Island E-Commerce Center in the heart of Long Island's Premier Distribution Hub. Located just one and half miles from the Long Island Expressway and on the border of Suffolk and Nassau Counties allowing easy access in and out of the five New York City boroughs.
The Long Island E-Commerce Center has been fully stabilized and leased to six tenants across the two buildings. The tenants include a mix of Fortune 100 and established local companies.
