​​​​The final piece of Hartz' historic remediation and development of the Harrison Avenue landfill in Kearny, NJ, is the ​Class A, specialized 200,000 SF storage facility for Preferred Freezer Services, one of the largest public refrigerated warehousing companies in the world.  Construction was completed in November 2018 and Preferred has taken occupancy of the facility on a 20-year lease.  Remediation and development of the site took more than 20 years, in excess of $15 million in self-financing, and the endorsement of numerous County and State agencies.
