Hartz began acquiring and developing property at Colgate Center in Jersey City in 1997. By 2000, Hartz completed buildings 70 & 90 Hudson. The two matching 12-story office buildings were joined by neighbor Goldman Sachs Tower in 2002. Hartz sold 70 & 90 Hudson in 2011 and adjacent properties including 77 and 99 Hudson for residential development in 2006 and 2013 respectively. In 2003, Hartz acquired the landmark 15 Exchange Place building and later sold it in 2022.
These buildings all have outstanding waterfront views and are located conveniently just minutes from NYC via the nearby NY Waterway Ferry Service, the Exchange Place PATH station and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail. The 18.5-mile Hudson River Waterfront Walkway connects the site north to Hoboken and the George Washington Bridge and south to Liberty State Park in Jersey City.
