Our Major Developments

In 1969, Hartz Mountain acquired what was a 750-acre tract of barren land in the New Jersey Meadowlands municipality of Secaucus, NJ. The land was considered by many to be too difficult to build upon. With vision and resources, Hartz created roads, installed utilities and developed a huge warehouse distribution park, which evolved into Harmon Cove, Hartz' first major mixed-use development.

This thriving community now includes:

  • Over 1,400 residential townhouses, high-rise luxury condos and multifamily residential
  • 13 million square feet of office and warehouse space
  • Retail outlet stores
  • 4 hotels
  • Hudson Regional Hospital
  • Direct access includes: The new Exit 15X on the NJ Turnpike. Also directly enter the Turnpike southbound at Exit 16E off County Ave. Or directly enter and exit Route 3 via Meadowland Parkway.
  • Secaucus Junction Train Station is located at the southeast end of Harmon Cove and provides commuter train service to the entire Metro region and beyond.
  • NJ Transit services Harmon Cove with Bus Routes 2, 78, 124 & 129 and the Secaucus Junction Train Station.
