Hartz Mountain’s first industrial acquisitions outside of New Jersey were in Maryland. The Baltimore-Washington Corridor is one of the most densely populated stretches of I-95. Coupled with two Class-1 intermodal rail yards, two international airports handling over 1,000 flights a day, the Port of Baltimore and overnight trucking to one-third of the US population, and the Baltimore-Washington Corridor is poised for sustained growth in the future. Hartz has acquired over 1.7 million rentable square feet of industrial space in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor. Prime locations and Class A facilities have attracted credit tenants including Nissan, a soda bottler and the Federal Reserve.
